The Challenge

 

Isabeau Miller and Shaun Balin created Beckon Homes with the goal of helping property owners to manage and furnish their short-term rentals. These properties have existed for a long time, and while the roots of hospitality haven’t dramatically changed, what is changing is how technology is enhancing the guest and homeowner experience.

As owners and travelers themselves, they know the experience of an owner and traveler from head to toe. Rather than following how other property management companies operate, Beckon Homes sought to combine creativity and practicality in their business.

However, at a certain point, Beckon Homes was getting inundated with customer service questions and many guests weren’t reading their house manuals. With the commitment to offer a seamless experience to owners and guests, Isabeau and Shaun knew that there was an opportunity to improve the way they communicated with guests. Thus, they were looking for a hospitality platform that would enable them to share information easily, while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.

The PDF was barely working, so we needed a more comprehensive way to share this. It was taking us too much time to edit, update it, and have someone on our team to constantly revise it.
